Livingstoncha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal (“we,” “our,” or “the Mandal”) operates this website to share information about our annual Ganeshotsav celebration in Livingston, New Jersey. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and how you can contact us about it.

1. Information We Collect

Volunteer Form

When you sign up to volunteer, we collect your name, email address, and phone number, along with your chosen area of interest. This information is used solely to coordinate volunteer assignments for the festival.

Contact Form

When you send us a message, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this to respond to your inquiry.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to updates, we collect your email address only. We use it to send festival news and announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time — see How to Unsubscribe below.

Site Analytics

We collect anonymous, aggregated data about how people use this website. Specifically, we record:

  • The page path visited (e.g., /gallery)
  • The city and country of the visit (derived from your network connection by our hosting provider)
  • A temporary browser-session identifier — a random ID generated in your browser tab that clears when the tab closes

We do not store your IP address. We do not use cookies for analytics. The session identifier does not persist across browser sessions and is not linked to any account or identity. There is no cross-site or cross-visit tracking.

2. Third-Party Embeds

This website embeds content from Facebook and Instagram (such as our Facebook Page Plugin and Instagram feed widget). These embeds are operated by Meta Platforms, Inc., not by the Mandal. When these embeds load, Facebook and Instagram may set their own cookies or collect data according to their own privacy policies, which are separate from and outside our control.

3. Photography and Media

Photos and video may be taken at the festival and shared on this website and our social media channels. By attending the festival, attendees acknowledge that such media may be captured in public areas of the event.

If you appear in a photo or video published on this site and would like it removed, please contact us at livingstoncharaja@gmail.com. We will review requests promptly and remove content where reasonably possible.

4. Data Retention

Volunteer sign-up information and contact messages are reviewed by our organizing committee and archived annually following each festival cycle. We do not retain personal submissions indefinitely without review.

Newsletter subscriber records are retained until you unsubscribe, after which your record is marked inactive but retained for our audit log. You may request complete deletion at any time (see Section 6).

Anonymous analytics data (page paths, city/country) has no personal identifier attached and is retained for general trend analysis.

5. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for their own marketing purposes.

6. Access, Correction, and Deletion

You may request to access, correct, or delete any personal information you have submitted through this website. To make a request, email us at livingstoncharaja@gmail.com with your name and the nature of your request. We will respond within a reasonable time.
