First Ganeshotsav

The Beginning of a Living Tradition

Livingstoncha Raja began in 2025 with a vision to create a Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav where families could come together to welcome Ganpati Bappa, celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi, and experience the traditions, devotion, and cultural spirit that make Ganeshotsav so meaningful.

Turning that vision into the first celebration became a true community effort. Volunteers offered their time and seva, sponsors extended their support, artists and performers became part of the celebration, and families came together to help bring every aspect of the festival to life. What started as an idea gradually became something the entire community could call its own.

On September 6, 2025, Livingstoncha Raja celebrated its inaugural Ganeshotsav. The day began with the sacred Pran Pratishtha, followed by darshan, prayers, and Aarti as devotees gathered in Bappa's presence. As the day unfolded, the energy of Dhol-Tasha brought the unmistakable spirit of Ganeshotsav to the celebration, leading into one of the most memorable moments of the day — the evening Maha Aarti, when devotees came together in prayer before Ganpati Bappa.

More than 1,000 devotees and families joined the first celebration. But the significance of that day went beyond attendance. Children experienced traditions that connect generations, families celebrated together, volunteers served side by side, and devotees shared moments of prayer, joy, and togetherness.

The first Livingstoncha Raja established the foundation for a growing community-driven Ganesh Festival in New Jersey—one shaped not only by the people who organize it, but by every volunteer who offers seva, every family that participates, and every devotee who comes to seek Bappa's blessings.

2025 will always remain the first chapter of the Livingstoncha Raja journey—the year a shared vision became a community tradition.
